The Ontario government’s proposed legislation to require all construction sites in Ontario to have naloxone kits onsite is a big step in the right direction, says the Ontario Construction Consortium (OCC).

Through events, seminars and digital mediums we will form a robust network of professionals from both inside and outside the industry. Connecting various groups will not only help us in our research but will allow us to provide a clear picture of the industry from those who are involved in it day to day.

The communities of Ontario deserve to built by the best workers our industry has to offer, and we will tirelessly advocate on their behalf to ensure that legacy is maintained for the betterment of the construction industry and the province as a whole.

In the construction industry, we can’t afford to let the quality of work, professionalism and knowledge become lax and our organization will be diligent in maintaining a workforce that sets the standard across Canada. By working with government, industry, media and the public, the Consortium will prepare briefs, whitepapers and other materials to inform government and stakeholders of issues within Ontario’s construction sectors: industrial, commercial, institutional and residential.
